Michael Walsh has over 35 years of experience as either an arbitrator or advocate in Commercial Arbitrations and Mediations. He has been an AV-rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell (highest) since 1995, and has been regularly cited as a New York Metropolitan area "Super Lawyer" in Alternative Dispute Resolution, having acted as an arbitrator in over 75 commercial disputes, an advocate in over 100 arbitrations, and as an advocate and Mediator in approximately 80 mediations.

He has been practicing law for over 40 years and has significant experience in the litigation and arbitration of professional liability (including attorneys, accountants, real estate professionals, physicians, and hospitals), a wide range of commercial disputes, insurance, and reinsurance matters, mass tort litigation, broker and intermediary errors/omissions cases, employment practices liability, and RICO claims and regulatory matters.

He is also privileged to represent the Estate of Martín Ramirez, the deceased Mexican artist who created over 400 known drawings while confined to California State Mental Hospitals from 1931 until his death in 1963. Mr. Ramirez has been described as “one of the greatest artists of the Twentieth Century” by the NY Times. His heirs include 13 grandchildren who now, as a result of Michael’s representation, regularly receive compensation for the drawings (some of which have been sold for over $400,000), “Life Story Rights”, and copyright issues.

He has established an active ADR Practice, serving as an arbitrator or mediator in many commercial areas, and is a member of a number of Panels, including the American Arbitration Association Large, Complex Commercial Arbitration and Mediation Panels, New York and Westchester County Supreme Court Commercial ADR Programs, New York County Lawyers Association Attorney Fee Dispute Program and is a Certified Arbitrator and Mediator for ARIAS U.S.
